This project involved converting Bountiful Light & Power’s (BL&P) legacy CAD drawings into a GIS format to improve their electric utility infrastructure and maintenance processes. The team converted AutoCAD files into geodatabase files, ensuring the GIS data aligned with client specifications for electric systems. The work included optimizing workflows, training team members on conversion standards, and publishing the data to an ArcGIS web application for real-time updates on electric infrastructure. This project provided BL&P with a robust GIS toolset, improving planning, management, and maintenance of their electric utility systems.
