GMI has provided GIS services for Bona Vista Water District (located in Weber County, Utah) for more than 15 years. GMI serves as Bona Vista’s primary GIS staff and has helped build the system from the ground up. We worked with staff to structure and build water layers to represent pipes, fire hydrants, valves, and other system components, and then provided training and support as the system was mapping using high-accuracy GPS equipment. Today, Bona Vista staff uses a fully cloud-based GIS to access live data in the field in real-time, to make edits, perform asset management, and make decisions.
