The GIS technology company Esri provides a web mapping api for JavaScript which allows for building of customized websites that contain Geospatial technology. GMI is an industry leader in this technology having built a variety of web applications, for both private and government clients, which incorporate the mapping capabilities. GMI has also taught classes with the technology at the Utah GIS technology conference—multiple years. One example involves a custom utility infrastructure management application for South Valley Sewer District that allows employees to conveniently access and view see system details and related documents. Another example is a City Council District Map for Midvale City that allows citizens to find which district they live in and see information about their local representative.
