Since 2010 Gateway Mapping Inc. (GMI) has supported Midvale City’s GIS. This has included developing, managing and maintaining the City GIS library, implementing GIS software and hardware, along with Server for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Online. GMI has created specific web applications for both the public and for internal staff. GMI has also supported initiating third-party mapping tools to meet specific regulations and requirements. The City’s GIS is also used for code enforcement as well as in the engineering and planning departments in their day-to-day operations.
