Kasey started with GMI in 2001 and was made the General Manager in 2017. One of his career objectives is to help his civil engineering counterparts learn how to apply GIS on every project. Kasey directs the Gateway Mapping team in building and maintaining client relationships and developing projects. He provides expertise in GIS-based infrastructure management, helping clients develop both fixed and mobile applications. He excels at earning client trust and confidence.
Bruce joined the GMI team in 1996. He is the Director of Geospatial Technology and is a Senior Project Manager leading many of our most innovative endeavors. He specializes in Enterprise GIS implementation, application development, process improvement, and service design. Bruce leads GMI in business strategy and technology management.
Neal started his career with Gateway Mapping, Inc. in 2003. In 2009, Neal began handling airports GIS tasks and integrating with our survey team for various aviation projects. Today, Neal works as a member of J-U-B Engineers’ Aviation Services Group, leading Airport Planning projects. He enjoys leading the Airport Planning team in developing strategies for future growth of airfield facilities and implementing GIS in analysis and solutions.
Christina started with GMI in 2013. Prior to joining our team, she gained valuable industry experience as a project manager and mapping coordinator working in land surveying. She currently works closely with municipalities and other public and private clients to help them build and maintain effective geographic information systems. Christina is skilled in database management and data organization and has particular expertise in making essential project information easily accessible to a wide audience using web technology.
Danika joined the GMI team in 2017. Prior to working for Gateway Mapping, she worked as a marine cartographer, facilitating the creation of leading industry naval navigation and recreation technology. She has expertise in high-precision GPS data collection, set up, and troubleshooting. Her responsibilities at GMI include GIS project work, GIS/GPS training, database construction and management, online and printed map production and cartography, web application solutions, and onsite GIS support for public and private sector clients.
Chris comes to GMI from the City of Seattle Department of Transportation, Policy & Planning Division. He has particular expertise in integrated land use and transportation planning at all scales. He developed an innovative GIS-based methodology that would become a national model for analyzing the development and transit ridership potential of light rail station areas and bus corridors. He was recognized for this work when he was named as one of Mass Transit Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2012. Way to go Chris! Chris adds significant strength to our GIS services as we expand into Northern Idaho.
Justin transitioned to the GMI team in 2019 after working as a planner with our parent company, J-U-B Engineers, for 13 years. He has worked on a variety of projects throughout Eastern Washington ranging from Transportation Planning, Master Planning, and Land Development. Justin has expertise in cartographic mapping, land use and transportation analysis, and dataset development. He provides GIS services support for the Kennewick Office and surrounding region.
Jennifer started with GMI in February 2020. She earned her master’s degree in GIS and has many years of experience working in the field of GIS and data analysis in local and federal government and private industry. Jennifer is passionate about using GIS to increase workflow efficiency and enhance data analysis. She has demonstrated this passion by designing geodatabases for asset management and maintenance tracking and creating mobile and web-based maps and applications for field crews and office personnel to access and update GIS data. While working for GMI, she continues to help clients better utilize GIS and assists planning and engineering projects by performing data analysis and data conversion, compiling story maps and ArcGIS Hub websites for public involvement, setting up web maps and applications, and helping clients design new GIS systems to manage their assets.
Eliza joined the GMI team in 2020. She graduated from Brigham Young University, majoring in Geospatial Science and Technology. She has experience with GIS while she attended college and also has entry-level programming skills in a variety of languages. She specializes in statistical and spatial analysis. She worked on research projects with four professors and eight graduate students in Engineering, Mathematics, and Geography.
Spencer joined the GMI team in 2022. He graduated with a degree in Environmental Geoscience with a certificate in GIS, during which he helped dozens of students through their first GIS research projects. Prior to joining the team, Spencer worked with the Federal Government in GIS and natural resources. At GMI, Spencer specializes in Python data processing, ArcGIS Online, and figure creation. Spencer particularly loves the intersection of GIS and creative coding.
